Hollywood Knitting - Merle Oberon

Merle Oberon knitting while Vivian Leigh and Laurence Olivier look on. Merle, nicknamed "Queenie," was born in 1911 in Bombay, India and was raised by her grandmother. Merle was best known as Cathy in "Wuthering Heights." She starred in this role after a car accident left scarring to her face. Poor Merle suffered further injury to her face due to cosmetic poisoning and an allergic reaction to sulfas.

I loved her best in 1941's "That Uncertain Feeling" with Melvyn Douglas.
