Hollywood Knitting - Ingrid Bergman

Love this photo of Ingrid Bergman and Alfred Hitchcock winding yarn on the set of the movie, "Notorious" in 1946. Notorious is famous as Hitchcock's first film that used sexual tension as a theme and is considered his arrival as a mature director.

Hollywood Knitting - Carole Lombard
Posted by Kelli Ladwig on
One of my absolute favorite actresses, Carole Lombard. She was the highest paid Hollywood star in the late 1930's. Her final film with Jack Benny and Robert Stack, "To Be or Not to Be", was in post-production when she died in an airplane crash while on a World War II War bond drive.

Hollywood Knitting - Cary Grant
Posted by Kelli Ladwig on
Inspired by last week's discussion, I decided to post Cary Grant knitting in "Mr. Lucky." Filmed in 1943 with Laraine Day, Grant plays a gambler wooing a wealthy socialite during the early part of the U.S. involvement in WWII. My favorite line. . ."I dropped me purls!"
