We had a photo shoot today here at McKnittey. It was a ton of fun, but I did not get much sleep in anticipation of it.

I love all the samples I have knitted for McKnittey, but it was really exciting to see other people in the shawls and scarves. It really gives life and movement to them.

Hollywood Knitting - Barbara Stanwyck

Gary Cooper toying with Barbara Stanwyck's knitting on the set of "Meet John Doe" in 1941. "Meet John Doe" was a Frank Capra film which was nominated for the Academy Award Best Original Story. The scene of Stanwyck typing is a wonder.

Hollywood Knitting - Dale Evans

Well, I do not know if Dale Evans was a knitter or not, but she really looks smashing in this hand-knit sweater. Dale was born in 1912 in Uvalde, Texas. Anecdotal evidence would support the premise she was a knitter as most women if that era learned sewing, knitting and other handcrafts as a necessity.
