Love this photo of Ingrid Bergman and Alfred Hitchcock winding yarn on the set of the movie, "Notorious" in 1946. Notorious is famous as Hitchcock's first film that used sexual tension as a theme and is considered his arrival as a mature director.

Hollywood Knitting - Carole Lombard

One of my absolute favorite actresses, Carole Lombard. She was the highest paid Hollywood star in the late 1930's. Her final film with Jack Benny and Robert Stack, "To Be or Not to Be", was in post-production when she died in an airplane crash while on a World War II War bond drive.

Hollywood Knitting - Gina Lollabrigida

Gina Lollabrigida knitting dressed as a bride. You have to admit the hat looks like a pin cushion. Thanks to Gina ... I was able to enjoy my first pun as a child. Who else remembers when Tweety and Sylvester (Pizza Tweety-pie - 1961) are in Venice and a sign over a canal says "Duck-a you head / Lowla Bridge-ada?" It still makes me laugh.
